Position Title: Ecommerce Manager
Anticipated Start Date: First week of January, 2025
Number of Hours: Full time
Pay: $53,000- $60,000 salary (based on experience)
Reports To: Marketing Director
POSITION SUMMARY:
Hello Adorn is looking for an experienced eCommerce Manager to lead and grow our ecommerce operations. This role will be responsible for managing and optimizing our website, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable user experience, and driving online sales growth. You’ll work closely with our marketing and customer service teams to bring our brand to life online, create a seamless shopping experience, and strengthen customer engagement. This is all done while modeling and maintaining our brand’s culture and values.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
eCommerce Strategy + Operations
- Develop and implement eCommerce strategy to grow online sales, improve customer acquisition, and drive repeat business.
- Manage product listings by updating product descriptions, prices, images, and ensuring accurate inventory.
- Monitor online store performance, including tracking key metrics like conversion rate, sales, and customer lifetime value.
- Oversee promotions and campaigns, implementing sales events, discounts, and product bundles to boost revenue.
- Collaborate with marketing efforts such as email marketing, social media, and paid ads to drive traffic and conversions.
- Provide customer insights, analyzing purchase behavior, customer feedback, and sales trends to influence product offerings or marketing campaigns.
Website Management and Technical Oversight
- Ensure website functionality, including regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and fixing bugs or issues to avoid downtime.
- Manage website content by updating hero imagery, banners, product pages, blogs, and other media as needed to keep the site fresh and relevant.
- Oversee website design and layout, ensuring it aligns with brand aesthetics and provides a user-friendly experience.
- Implement and maintain security measures, including SSL certificates, backups, and monitoring for vulnerabilities.
- Optimize for SEO, making sure on-page SEO elements like meta descriptions, titles, and alt tags are properly set up to improve search engine visibility.
- Optimize site speed and performance to ensure a fast and smooth user experience on all devices, especially mobile.
User Experience
- Optimize the customer journey by streamlining the navigation, product search, and checkout processes to reduce friction and improve conversions.
- Use analytics tools like Google Analytics or Shopify’s dashboard to monitor traffic, identify bottlenecks, and make data-driven improvements to the site’s performance.
- Coordinate promotions and offers through the website, ensuring a seamless integration with marketing emails and social media campaigns.
- Ensure a high-quality customer experience by making the online store easy to navigate, visually appealing, and functional across devices.
Apps + Integrations
- Manage third-party integrations, including Shopify apps for shipping, inventory, loyalty, reviews, etc. to ensure smooth operations.
- Coordinate with developers or agencies for any technical or design enhancements that require specialized skills, like complex coding, theme development, and custom features.
- Maintain relationships with vendors for services such as Yotpo (Loyalty/Reviews), Kimonix, and our other digital marketing tools to ensure we're utilizing all their offerings and updates.
Analytics and Optimization
- Track key metrics and performance indicators, using Shopify’s analytics dashboard, Google Analytics, or other tools to monitor sales, traffic, and conversions.
- Conduct A/B testing to improve various aspects of the online store (e.g., product pages, checkout process) and optimize the user experience for better results.
- Analyze customer data to identify patterns in purchasing behavior, and use those insights to adjust product offerings, marketing strategies, or site layout.
- Monitor competitors, staying updated on trends and making adjustments to pricing, offerings, or marketing based on competitive insights.
Customer Experience and Support
- Collaborate with the customer care department to implement tools like live chat or FAQ sections to help customers find information quickly and resolve issues without contacting support.
- Collaborate with the customer care department to manage reviews and feedback systems, ensuring that positive reviews are highlighted and any negative feedback is addressed promptly
Budget and Vendor Coordination
- Manage budget allocations for website maintenance and app integrations.
- Negotiate with service providers for hosting, payment processors, and other services required to run the online store efficiently.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, eCommerce, or a related field (required)
- 3 - 5 years experience in eCommerce, digital marketing, or online retail (required)
- Experience in Shopify (required)
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Time management is critical, as this individual will need to balance both strategic and tactical responsibilities.
- Tool proficiency will be essential, as they will need to handle both marketing platforms and website management tools (Shopify backend, analytics, CMS).
- Customer-first mindset, especially when it comes to ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Cross-functional coordination will be required. Ability to communicate and lead staff members effectively and with respect is a core value at Hello Adorn.
